Empowering Communities through Knowledge: A+ Computer Training Technology Ltd Concludes CSR Training for Security Personnel and SMEs

In a bold step toward inclusive digital empowerment and capacity development, A+ Computer Training Technology Ltd in collaboration with Triangle Group Advisors USA recently concluded its intensive 2025 CSR Training Program, a transformative initiative designed for two key sectors: security/media personnel and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Spanning several weeks, this comprehensive training was facilitated by the A+ MSME Hub, and was structured to deliver high-impact, practical knowledge aimed at improving work efficiency, business development, and digital readiness.

At the opening of the program, our Founder and CEO, Chief Koppe Sylvanus Joseph, set the tone for the training with a compelling message. He emphasized the importance of digital literacy for inclusive economic growth, the role of security personnel and SMEs in national development, and A+’s commitment to equipping underserved communities with relevant, future-forward skills.

 

The Journey for Security/Media Personnel: Security Tech Capacity Development Training

The CSR training for security/media personnel ran for a full month, structured into thematic weekly modules that progressed from foundational knowledge to advanced digital tools:

Week 1: Data Analytics for Peacekeeping & Security Operations facilitated by Mr. Zhakom I. Z.

Participants were introduced to basic and intermediate data analytics skills. This included working with tools like Excel and Power BI to collect, analyze, and interpret data; skills crucial for modern security intelligence and decision-making.

Week 2: Cybersecurity in Peace Support Operations facilitated by Mr. Saviour

In today’s digital age, security is no longer only physical. This week focused on digital threats, online safety, threat detection, and preventive strategies. Mr. Saviour took the officers through real-world cybersecurity scenarios, phishing simulations, and digital hygiene best practices.

Week 3: Artificial Intelligence Tools in Security Operations facilitated by Mr. Anthony Gbobo

A standout week, where the personnel were introduced to the possibilities of using AI in security work. They explored topics such as:

– Introduction to Python programming

– Machine learning basics

– Prompt engineering

– Building simple AI models tailored for surveillance and predictive analysis

Week 4: Office Collaborative Tools for Efficiency facilitated by Mr. Bulus Azi

The final week was dedicated to improving internal operations. Officers learned how to use Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, shared drives, and cloud collaboration tools to streamline communication and reporting.

Each session was highly interactive, with practical demonstrations, group work, and peer learning. Many participants expressed how the program had broadened their perspective on how technology intersects with their roles.

SMEs on the Rise: Business Development & Sustainability with Digital Skills for Entrepreneurs

The SME stream of the CSR training ran concurrently, focusing on business growth, structure, funding, and tech skills for entrepreneurs. Here’s a breakdown of the training experience:

Week 1: Ideation & Business Formation Facilitated by Chief. Koppe Sylvanus Joseph & Mr. Aliyu Alkasim

Facilitators walked participants through the foundations of building a sustainable business: choosing the right structure, branding, setting goals, and understanding business models.

Week 2: Scalability, Market Access & Digital Integration facilitated by Mr. Emmanuel James

This week was dedicated to helping SMEs how to scale and leverage technology for markets. Some of the topics covered within the week included:

– Website Development & Management for SMEs

– Social Media & Digital Marketing Tools

– Introduction to E-Commerce Platforms

This week also featured a special visit from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) team who educated the entrepreneurs on formalizing their businesses.

Week 3: Access to Funding facilitated by Mr. Stephen Dogo

This week was dedicated to helping SMEs become investor-ready. Topics included:

– Access to Grants & Funding Opportunities (Local & International)

– Building Pitch Decks & Investor Readiness

– Pitching Practice & Feedback Session

Week 4: Introduction to Data Analytics (Excel, Power BI basics) and Pitch Deck Design facilitated by Mr. Zhakom Z. I. & Mr. Samuel Akayi

Entrepreneurs were trained on how to use data in making better business decisions. Tools like Excel and Power BI were introduced to help track inventory, sales, and customer behavior. They were also trained on how to design the perfect pitch decks for their business.

In addition, throughout the training, SMEs engaged in networking activities, and received one-on-one mentorship.
